ENGAGED // ERICA & JORDAN // MORNING GLORY FARMS

I know that I say this a lot, but I truly, from the bottom of my heart mean it when I say that I adore these two. I met Erica earlier this summer by the recommendation of a sweet mutual friend of ours (Brian Schindler, check him out) who used her as a second photographer in the past.

Erica messaged me soon after that and INSTANTLY we hit it off. She's sweet to her core, gentle-hearted and a phenomenal person to have by your side on a wedding day. She truly has a servant's heart and her joy and love for Jesus radiates out of her. I'm sitting here, literally tearing up because I just love this girl so much that I can't even accurately explain how thankful I am to have her consistent positive attitude on my side.

I didn't meet Jordan until the engagement session day but knowing how much Erica loves him, I knew  I couldn't wait to meet him. Again, instantly I knew I liked him. He's kind of quiet but really intentional with what he says. He also has a heart for Jesus and loves Erica so, so much. We all went out to dinner afterwards and talked music and people and life and intentionality.. what a pair, these two are. Power couple of 2014!

Since the beginning, before she was even engaged, Erica told me (in passing) that she wanted me to shoot her wedding. I laughed and shook it off but I somehow always knew we'd work together one day, so when she and Jordan picked me as their wedding photographer, my little heart was so incredibly happy. I truly can't wait to photograph their day next June and watch how they continue to flourish as individuals and grow together as a couple in the years to come.

Ya'll are stuck with me & I love you guys, very much! Thanks for putting up with all of my crazy suggestions in the FREEZING cold. You're troopers.

ANNIVERSARY // KELLY & CLINT // MINI-SESSION

I freaking love Kelly and Clint. My sweet friends, The Schultzes shot their gorgeous wedding a year ago (which you can see here) and did such a wonderful job! You can absolutely tell how in love with each other they are through their images.. so when Kelly contacted me (after trying to find a date to get together since their actual anniversary this past summer) to do a mini session for their anniversary/Christmas card, I was SO EXCITED. I knew it'd be fun.

We had gorgeous light, so much fun and (I think) we ended up with some seriously gorgeous pictures.

(AND this is an awesome example of how mini-sessions aren't for just family sessions!)

MARRIED // EMILY & BEN // ESEEOLA LODGE, LINVILLE, NC

I had the privilege of shooting this gorgeous wedding alongside my dear friend Jenna mid-Summer.. The entire day, we were just in awe of the simplicity of Ben and Emily's love, how they were drawn to each other and in a state of pure bliss with one another. Jenna did a BEAUTIFUL job documenting their day, which you can find here! Seriously. Her talent is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and go pour over her blog.

ANNIVERSARY // KELLY & JOHN, PART 2 // MEMPHIS, TN

Hands down, these are some of my favorite pictures I've ever been able to be a part of making. Let's all take a moment of silence for how gorgeous Kelly's wedding dress is, and how amazing she looks in it. And John in his UO attire (which we picked out the day of the shoot!) Seriously. You're breathtaking, Kel!

Like I mentioned in PART I, I asked Kelly once we decided that I was coming to shoot in Memphis if she would put her wedding dress on again for a shoot and she was all HECK YES. So we decided we were going to go for a slightly different feel on the second day of our shoot. Kelly and John LOVE balloons so I knew that we needed a giant gold balloon and Kel's mom was nice enough to go grab us one mid-day.. it totally made the shoot.

I really don't think  this shoot needs anymore of a preface, just enjoy the wonderful time we spent together.

You two are pretty swell.
