engaged // taylor & jarred // asheville wedding photographer

"you should know this,
that i love you
that i have always
loved you
and nothing,
no force in this
universe,
can stop me
from loving you still."

these two are loving, hilarious, young-at-heart and madly in love. they encompass absolutely everything i pray for in couples who book and want to work with me. they're just awesome, all the way around. their hearts for each other and the Lord are so pure and full of love. to say that i love taylor and jarred is a vast understatement.

they're actually familiar faces on the blog because way back when, i shot a mini session for them the day after jarred proposed (you can see that here!) but we wanted to have some more time after the initial excitement set in, and we both (taylor is an awesome photographer as well, and she'll be joining me on a couple of weddings next year!) wanted more control over the location and time of day to shoot. taylor emailed me this spot, lady luck flower farm in the gorgeous mountains of asheville, and asked if it was too much to drive 3 hours together (6 total) - it was a long drive but i'm so happy we had the chance to do it. i got to know them, listen to some awesome music, and of course, eat Bojangles. plus, i'm a mountain girl.

anyway, i can't say enough goodness about these two. i can't wait to hang out with them again and celebrate their marriage.

you guys are my favorite.

a couple of frames, autumn & josh anniversary.

PA - NC - GA - NC.

yesterday I had the pleasure to make an 8 hour road trip with some new forever friends of mine, autumn and josh. these two are such a breath of fresh air. it's always an honor shooting other photographers because they just GET it. they understand poses and verbage and trust you completely. AND these two are madly in love, so that helped too  i loved spending my entire day with them, laughing, chasing the light (literally), watching how they love on each other but mainly just getting to know their incredible hearts.

here are just a couple frames to tide you over, (and to tide ME over) until i can edit them. enjoy!

alsoalso, if you don't already know who these guys are, go meet them at wearethekerns.com

wed // mandy & jacob // north carolina wedding photographer

"because of you i can feel myself slowly but surely becoming the me i have always dreamed of being."

from the moment i met mandy and jacob, i knew i would love them.
and every experience i've had with them has left my heart so full.

they are the sweetest and most kind-hearted souls. i had SO much fun chasing the light with them on their engagement session and knew their wedding day would be just as magical. they were married at vesuvius vineyards and were totally surrounded by joy and good light their entire day, and let me tell you - that makes all the difference. oh, and their awesome pups (hurley and charlie) were wandering around just lovin' on people all day. as someone who loves their dog more than most people love their children - that was super cool in my book.

i'm so thankful that these two put so much trust in me for their day - that's why you're about to see a ton of their portraits.. not only because they're insanely gorgeous people (seriously... my friends literally call them "the gorgeous (model, attractive, awesome haired) couple"), but because we had so much fun walking around the property and enjoying one of the last days with that beautiful summer glow together.

here's to you, mandy and jacob! love ya'll.

featured // green wedding shoes

when i was starting out as a photographer, i always hoped to be featured somewhere because it was the "cool" thing to be. the longer i've been in the business, the more i've realized that it's less about the notoriety, and more about sharing the couple's story.

shannon and john were no exception. they had a gorgeous, intimate, foggy mountain wedding that i'm so thankful to have been a part of.

enjoy!
