i get called out for saying this a lot, buy they really are some of my favorite people in the world.
i met lauren back when i was a teenager (think like, 13.. i feel so bad for her that she knew me then!) because she's one of my brother's best friends. well, fast forward to my college years and i had the luck of being at asu with her at the same time, so we spent many car rides back and forth to charlotte talking and getting to know each other. she's a caring, gentle soul who loves so well. (even if she thinks i'm awkward). and kyle? well, he embraces life and the curves and mountains and the joy of it all. you can always expect them both to have your back, regardless of anything else. they're loyal, amazing, and so loving. they're a perfectly matched pair.
i'm honestly sitting here in tears over how much i love these two, so you can imagine that when they told my family (lauren & kyle are honorary chid's) that they were expecting - my heart just exploded.
they are going to be the best parents to miss anna davis (who was born in december!), both in love and patience. it'll be hard and the journey won't be easy, but the world is a very blessed place to have a child like her in it. she's going to be a radiating beauty from the love and prayer that's been poured into her from dozens and dozens of people since before she joined us.

if you follow me on social media, you've probably seen that we (meaning bunch collective and i) hosted a giveaway not too long ago for a free session. maggie & jake won and we finally had their shoot tonight. the last of three for me this weekend and all i have to say is: holy moly. meet maggie & jake and prepare yourselves for how awesome they are. here are a couple of sneaks until their big reveal in a couple of months.

DAY AFTER SESSION // ASHLEY & GRAY // MORNING GLORY FARMS
I had the ultimate pleasure of shooting my sister's best friend's day-after wedding pictures! As it goes, it didn't work out for me to shoot their wedding, but I wanted to have the chance to have these two in front of my camera at least once, so they made the trip back from Winston the morning after their wedding to do a quick session at my favorite Morning Glory Farms (thanks SO MUCH, Nan!) Ashley and Gray are literally a match made in Heaven. They're beautiful (inside and out), kind-hearted, welcoming and gentle souls who love everyone around them to the ends of the earth. Oh, and that pile of letters? From Gray to Ashley on the days leading up to their wedding.. she read them (and I'm assuming WEPT) the morning of their wedding day. Did I mention thoughtful on their long list of adjectives to describe these two?
